Wedding cakes by Maria Dobson Cake Design who doesn’t like cake? Well there may be a few of you but I’m not one of them I’m a cake lover! I also really enjoy taking photos of them too, all those intricate beautiful details.
Maria Dobson wedding cakes are full of beautiful details and the planning and care and attention that goes into them is quite incredible
I’ve now got quite a collection of images of cakes by Maria and thought they were more than worthy of a blog. The first cake Maria did for me it was a 1920s Gatsby theme cake for my style Photoshoot you can see HERE at Eaves Hall.
The next photo shoot I contacted Maria to see if she would like her cake photographing. We decided Whalley Abbey was a destination for the next beautiful cake.

The next cake photo shoot was at Mitton Hall. This time we had a theme it was based on my favourite Shakespeare play Midsummer‘s nights dream. Which is a comedy around marriage and love.
Maria likes to study and create her own interpretation for her cakes and starts with research and sketching. Then the the cake starts to take shape. I have to say the Midsummer‘s night dream cake is secretly my favourite perhaps not such a secret anymore oops.
I’ve also been asked to Marie is home to photographs her wonderful cake creations. I’ve also been Lucky enough to photograph her cakes as a couple of weddings too.
It’s lovely having friends in the wedding world and I hope our paths keep crossing many times in the future.. possibly in Scotland too. We both love it there.
