Rachel and Marc’s Stirk House Wedding

The bride and groom cheering and celebrating at the Stirk house wedding venue

Rachel and Marc’s Stirk House wedding  was full of sunshine, sunflowers and lots of lovely personal touches.

I joined them for my three-hour wedding photography package, from their guests arriving through to the ceremony, confetti, family photographs and some time with the newlyweds before everyone sat down for their wedding breakfast.

Sunflowers were the flowers of the day, complemented by dusky pink worn by the bridal party. The beautiful flowers were created by Flowers from the Heart, with the sunflowers bringing such a happy splash of colour to the day.

Rachel is an artist, and her creativity was everywhere. She had painted several of the wedding details herself, including the welcome sign and the table numbers, which were themed around places Rachel and Marc had visited together. These little details made their Stirk House wedding feel wonderfully personal.

The ceremony had two beautiful readings, including a poem written especially about Rachel and Marc I loved this addition to their wedding day.
Joanne from Piano Daisy played beautifully throughout the ceremony, adding to the atmosphere.
Then it was time for confetti! Rachel’s mum had carefully dried rose petals ready for the occasion, making the confetti photographs even more special.

Helping to keep everything moving was Dave, the Master of Ceremony. He was an absolute star, making sure everything happened when it should, from the confetti to the canapés, and importantly making sure Rachel and Marc actually got to enjoy some too.

Time for a few special photographs

There was time for a few family photographs, the wedding party and the newly weds. Oh and of course a few photographs with Abbie, their family dog.Apparently Abbie isn’t usually the easiest dog to persuade to pose for photographs, but she did us proud.

Before long, it was time for everyone to head through for the wedding breakfast.

I loved being part of Rachel and Marc’s Stirk House wedding and capturing these special moments of their day. It was full of colour, creativity, laughter, beautiful music and thoughtful details that reflected them as a couple.
